Two Sides of Japan

On my France-New Zealand flight I had a nine hour layover in Japan. Which meant I could spend about four hours in Tokyo before jumping back onto the Narita Express and settling in for another eleven hour flight.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the things I got up to:

After buying an umbrella five minutes before it stopped raining, and the obligatory toy shopping in Shibuya, I passed Harajuku station and headed for the Meiji Jingu shrine:

It’s funny how these completely different sides of Japan live in such close proximity to each other. It was a really greatΒ sneak peekΒ of the city, hopefully I can stay a little longer next time!
