Let me tell you the harrowing tale of how I got my real life, grown-up job in London. It went like this:

The Indomitable Spirit of Warsaw
Warsaw was just as grey, and maybe 5 bazillion times more chilly, than Karakow. But we arrived just in time for one of the best ever things. FIREWORKS! And at a palace-cum-clock tower no less.
The next day, we found Warsaw to be a place both inspiring and horrifically depressing.
Krakow and REAL Dragon Bones
As if the England chill isn’t chilly enough, we decided to ring in the New Year by flying off to Poland; a location not so well known for its temperate climate and sunny disposition. But please, no one said being an intrepid explorer would be easy!
A Cat, A Princess, And an Ill-Fitting Dress
[fb: Today I walked up the red carpet in jelly high-heels and sat in front of Kate Middleton. London is cray.]
Foxes, Aussies, and Making Pals
The light fitting in my room exploded today (internally, so no exciting glass showers for me), and since the millions of tea lights dotted everywhere aren’t bright enough to read by, I’m going to start a new blog series. Ooh, fancy!
This series will document my move to London and all the trials and tribulations inherent in finding your place in a big city. I also want it to be somewhat collaborative, so if you have any topics you’d like covered or burning questions answered, then please leave a comment (even if it’s just to moan with me about the tube being delayed… again!).
Ottawa: A Surprise Favourite
“Ottawa? Why are you going there??”
Our plans to head to the country’s capital was one that took a lot of people by surprise. It seemed that the general feeling about Ottawa was that it’s just filled with a lot of government workers and official buildings. Which… ok yea maybe… but it’s also so much more.
A snapshot of Montréal
Our next stop on our Canadian tour was Montréal.
Toronto: Our gateway to Canada
Wow, let me just brush aside some of these cobwebs. Oi, tumble weed! This isn’t some western ghost town, get outta here! Is this mouse poo?? Who said mice could move in here??
Ok ok I’m back! And I have good reasons for not having written in a while, most of which we’ll get to later, but for right now let’s talk about Canada. I went there. Yay!
